Soba con gamberetti - Giappone

This dish is so delicious that you have to try it. I first tasted soba few months ago when I went to a friend of mine and learnt how to make sushi, my friend also made a wonderful soba salad... so simple and so delicious that I just add to make it again.

For people who do not know, soba is a type of thin Japanese noodle made from buckwheat flour, it is served either chilled with a dipping sauce or in hot broth as a noddle soup.

I bought some dry algae in the Japanese shop and put them in water... the color changes from dark when algae are dry to a nice dark green when they soak water, the taste is really nice and delicate. I also bought some fresh shrimps, cleaned them, washed them and stirred fried them with the skin on in a large pan with some garlic, a small piece of chili and vegetable oil.

In the meantime I boiled water with some oyster sauce in it (I used it just for the taste) and a couple of shrimps and with most of the shrimps heads. When the water is boiling I put in the soba, 3-4 minutes are enough to cook them. I do not like soba if they are too soft...

When the noodles are ready you can strain them, put them and pour cold water on them to stop the cooking. Add the shrimps to the soba, add then algae and some drops of Japanese soy sauce. Mix very well and serve.

Ciao Orchidea! Ho letto una ricetta con salsiccia e patate perchè la voglio preparare in una cena tra amici. Mi dispiace sentirti dire che in Svezia non trovi le salsicce saporite come le nostre ed ho pensato di suggerirti di fartele in casa. Su internet puoi trovare tante ricette. Io sono originario di napoli e la tradizione partenopea vuole che si preparino con il vino bianco che, a mio parere, lascia un gusto sensazionale.

La soba è una mia recente e felice scoperta. Ormai la mangio in tutte le salse. Le alghe mi piacciono un po' meno, ma troverò sicuramente una buona alternativa per questo piatto con i gamberi.
