Here is a quick dish I just prepared with some leftovers... if you have some boiled Jasmine rice here is what you can do...
RICE WITH TOMATO SAUCE AND PEAS
(For 2 people)
Ingredients: boiled Jasmine rice for 2 people, 6 Tbsp frozen small peas (you can use fresh peas if you have them), 4 Tbsp tomato sauce in a can, 2 Tbsp water, 1 little red onion, extra-virgin olive oil, Cayenne pepper, salt.
Chop the onion and put it in a large saucepan with some extra-virgin olive oil, cook until the onion is transparent and tender. Add the frozen peas and cook for 5 minutes. Add tomato sauce, water, salt and Cayenne pepper, stir well and cook for abut 30 minutes (until the peas are cooked and soft). When the sauce is ready puor in the rice and mix well, the dish is now ready for serving.

Info&Research: JASMINE RICE.
Jasmine rice (Thai: ข้าวหอมมะลิ; kao hom mali) is a long-grain variety of rice that has a nutty aroma and subtle flavor. This rice should be rinsed before cooking to rid it of extra starch. The grains will cling when cooked, though having less amylopectin, it is less sticky than other rices.

E' veramente buono fatto così...
l'hai mai provato ripassato in forno con uno strato di mozzarella filante sopra??...una vera bontà!! :))
Hi,
May I know what kind of tomato sauce you use? Real tomatoes or tomato sauce in a bottle..? Thanks! :)
Dolci ricette, grazie. La prossima volta la metterò al forno con la mozzarella.
Theresa, you can use both. In this case I used tomato sauce in a bottle and as I wrote in the recipe I cooked it for half an hour (because as you know the tomato sauce in bottle or can is not cooked). I do not like the tomato sauce in cans ready to use... it tastes bad.
Ciao.
Praticamente una reinterpretazione dei "risi e bisi"!!! Ne ho sentito il profumo e sono corsa!
Grazie Cannella. Sì, più o meno, utilizzando i resti che avevo in frigo.
Ciao.
